NOVELTY - Manufacturing materials comprising 2 dimensional (2D) graphene, porous or holey nanomaterials comprising holey graphene, comprises using: e.g. more efficient, integrated processes and/or equipment of microwave or infrared etc assisted synthesis, blending and/or ultrasound; components or materials comprising catalysts, solvents etc for specific effects or improvements before, during or after the process; and compression or compaction or other processes for many desirable effects comprising volume reduction, conductivity, mechanical strength, specific porosity or transports etc. USE - The process is useful for manufacturing materials comprising 2D graphene, porous or holey nanomaterials comprising holey graphene, nanomaterials, 2D nanomaterials, graphene, graphene oxide, boron nitride, molybdenum disulfide, black phosphorus etc, where the materials are useful: in solar, coating, printing, painting, dye, additive, batteries electrodes, current collector, energy storage devices, electronic devices, 3D printing inks, separation or purification of gas, water, waste treatments or other materials and lighting, organic LED sensors, detection, medical devices, medicine, defense or construction materials and systems, protection materials and devices etc; to achieve desirable properties e.g. to replace metal properties as shielding or protection, which can be mechanical, electrical, electronic or other forms e.g. electromagnetic compatibility and/or electromagnetic immunity (all claimed); and to improve ion or molecule transports, reduce tortuosity or volume, improve mechanical strength, create efficient process and functions e.g. separation and purification of water comprising waste water, oiled water, etc. and other solvents and gases. ADVANTAGE - The process: is more efficient; allows to control heating energy, duration and temperature for desirable results; controls hole sizes, density, distribution, location, area or defect degrees in the 2 dimensional nanomaterials by energy power, processing time, temperature, additional materials or processes etc; requires greatly reduced energy, greatly reduced process time, even down to seconds in certain cases; can be performed in air, inert circumstance, vacuum or special gas or other desirable environments; provides materials with varied thickness comprising a single atom layer, nanometer, sub-micrometer, micrometer, to bulk like several micro meters or more; provides materials, which have improved or properties e.g. ease or possibility of adding function groups for desirable properties (claimed); and is environmentally or green process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Manufacturing materials comprising 2 dimensional (2D) graphene, porous or holey nanomaterials comprising holey graphene, comprises using more efficient, integrated processes and/or equipment of microwave or infrared etc assisted synthesis, blending and/or ultrasound. The process utilizes: components or materials comprising catalysts, solvents etc for specific effects or improvements before, during or after the process; compression or compaction or other processes for many desirable effects comprising volume reduction, conductivity, mechanical strength, specific porosity or transports etc; and efficient heating, which can also be assisted or complemented by regular heating sources comprising electrical heating via conduction, convection and/or radiation etc in certain cases to enhance efficiency. The process is intermittent, roll-to-roll mode or any other continued or continuous processes comprising belt or plate moving or rotating.
