NOVELTY - The positive electrode of the lithium-ion battery comprises a current collector made of aluminum foil and a positive electrode membrane coated on the current collector. The positive electrode membrane contains an ultrahigh nickel positive electrode material (LiaNibCocMdOe), spinel lithium manganate, 0.1-5 wt.% a conductive agent and 0.5-10 wt.% a binder, where M is manganese and/or aluminum, a is 0.95-1.05, b is 0.8-1, c is 0.01-0.1, sum of b, c, d is 1 and e is 1.5-2.5. The conductive agent is carbon black, carbon nanotubes (both preferred), carbon fibers and/or graphene. The binder is polyvinylidene fluoride and/or polytetrafluoroethylene. USE - Positive electrode of the lithium-ion battery used in electric automobiles. ADVANTAGE - The positive electrode of the lithium-ion battery can effectively meet the requirement of the high-energy-density, quick-charging and long-service-life. The specific capacity of the positive electrode is more than 162 mAh/g, and the energy density of a battery formed by the anode and the graphite cathode is more than or equal to 210 Wh/kg.
