NOVELTY - The optical device comprises a board, an optical waveguide extending in a first direction on a substrate, and a ring resonator is adjacent to the optical waveguide on the substrate in a second direction crossing the first direction. A first graphene layer and a second graphene layer are on the substrate. A first insulating layer (110) is between the substrate and the first graphene layer, a second insulating layer (130) is between the first graphene layer and the second graphene layer. A first electrode (210) and a second electrode (220) are connected to the first graphene layer, and a third electrode (230) is connected to the second graphene layer, where the first graphene layer, the second graphene layer, the first insulating layer, and the second insulating layer have a ring shape or a ring shape in which a portion is open. USE - Used as optical device including ring resonator. ADVANTAGE - The optical device used as light source, optical detector, or optical modulator through ring resonator having van der Waals heterostructure structure, can be integrated into silicon electronic chip to implement silicon photonics, and performs high-density integration and compatible with CMOS chip.
