NOVELTY - Isolation layer comprises a base layer and a barrier layer provided on the base layer. The barrier layer includes a conductive carbon carrier and a nitride-sulfide heterostructure bidirectional catalyst supported on the conductive carbon carrier. USE - The isolation layer is useful for lithium-sulfur battery. ADVANTAGE - The lithium-sulfur battery has better rate performance and cycle stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) method for preparing an isolation layer comprising providing substrate, metal salt, precipitation agent, sulfur source, conductive carbon carrier, and water, adding the metal salt and the precipitating agent to the water, performing the first heating treatment to obtain hydroxide precipitation, performing the second heat treatment on the hydroxide precipitate in an ammonia atmosphere to obtain a nitride, mixing the nitride and sulfur source, performing a third heating treatment under an inert gas atmosphere to obtain a bidirectional nitride-sulfide heterostructure catalyst, mixing the nitride-sulfide heterostructure bidirectional catalyst and the conductive carbon carrier, performing ultrasonic treatment, supporting the nitride-sulfide heterostructure bidirectional catalyst on the conductive carbon carrier, loading the conductive carbon carrier carrying the nitride-sulfide heterostructure bidirectional catalyst on the substrate by vacuum filtration to obtain the isolation layer, where the isolation layer includes a base layer and a barrier layer provided on the base layer, and the barrier layer includes a conductive carbon carrier and a nitride-sulfide heterostructure bidirectional catalyst supported on the conductive carbon carrier; and (2) lithium-sulfur battery comprising isolation layer.
