NOVELTY - The source has a vacuum glass chamber (8) containing an optically active element (2). A generator of an infra-red (IR) electromagnetic radiation beam is equipped with a laser IR diode (6), a battery (7), a focusing lens (4), and, optionally, a reflector (3). The optically active element contained in a vacuum chamber is a thin layer graphene matrix with thickness of up to 3mm. Radiation generated by the laser IR diode is in a near IR range with wavelength of 800-1200 nm. A pressure value in the vacuum chamber containing the optically active element is in a range from 10 degree to 1''6 mbar. USE - White light source. ADVANTAGE - The source can be characterized with very good heat conductivity and electrical conductivity, low resistivity and very high electron activity. The source ensures that property of graphene, so that thermal conductivity decreases in high temperatures to prevent damage of a silicic base used in the source. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for a method for facilitating white light generation.
