NOVELTY - A lithium ion battery (100) has cathode electrode (102), anode electrode (104) and separator (106) sandwiched between the cathode and anode electrodes. At least one of the cathode electrode and anode electrode comprises current collector such as cathode current collector (112) and anode current collector (114) with graphene layer and carbon nano tube layer stacked with graphene layer. The graphene layer consists of graphenes stacked with each other or joined with each other. USE - Lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - Provide a long life lithium ion battery with high power density since cathode current collector and/or anode current collector includes graphene layer and carbon nanotube layer with relatively good conductivity, stable chemical and electrical stability, and low weight.
