▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - An antimicrobial nanocomposite comprises graphene oxide and cationic silver moieties bound to the graphene oxide. USE - Antimicrobial nanocomposite used in formulation for applying to substrate as liquid spray, mist, foam, dip-coat bath, wipe, or coating. The substrate is a textile, paper, glass, metal, plastic, or wood for face mask, personal protective equipment, environmental cleaning wipes, counters, door handles, walls, and airflow membranes and filtration membrane such as reverse osmosis membrane, dialysis membrane, ion-selective membrane, filter paper and cloth. The antimicrobial face mask is provided for inhibiting inhalation of microbial pathogen by subject, from airflow and for increasing the bacterial and viral filtration of mask. The nanocomposite is effective at killing microbial pathogens such as gram-positive bacterium, gram-negative bacterium, fungus and virus. The virus is non-enveloped virus and enveloped virus. The enveloped virus is coronavirus, preferably severe acute severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus. The microbial pathogen is an antimicrobial resistant strain and multidrug resistant (MDR) strain. The microbial pathogen is chosen from Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Serratia marcescens, Acinetobacter baumanii, Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida Auris, and influenza virus, extended spectrum ( beta )-lactamase (ESBL) E.coli, ESBL Klebsiella pneumoniae, carbapenem resistant organism Enterobacter spp., penicillin-resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae, community acquired-methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, hospital acquired-methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Acinetobacter baumanii complex (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The antimicrobial nanocomposite has excellent antimicrobial activity against pathogenic microorganism and inactivates pathogenic microbes on substrate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) antimicrobial formulation, which comprises the nanocomposite and a solvent, a carrier, a diluent, and/or a dispersant; (2) antimicrobial coating, which comprises the nanocomposite and a dispersing agent; and (3) method for conferring antimicrobial activity to substrate.
