NOVELTY - Bio-based room temperature asphalt modifier comprises 40-70 pts. wt. plant asphalt, 10-20 pts. wt. unsaturated fatty acids, 10-20 pts. wt. extracted oil, 15-25 pts. wt. tackifying resin, 5-10 pts. wt. styrene-butadiene-styrene rubber modifier, 0-10 pts. wt. liquid rubber, 5-10 pts. wt calcium hydroxide and 1-3 pts. wt. surfactant. The plant asphalt is residue after extracting the vegetable oil from castor bean and the residue after extracting the vegetable oil from the corn stover in the mass ratio is 1-3:1. USE - Used as bio-based room temperature asphalt modifier. ADVANTAGE - The modifier improves high and low temperature stability and bond strength of petroleum asphalt, realizes the liquefaction of petroleum asphalt at room temperature, is environmentally friendly and improves the curing speed of petroleum asphalt, and is beneficial to the rapid prototyping of pavement. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing bio-based room temperature asphalt modifier, comprising (i) taking 40-70 pts. wt. plant asphalt and placing into the reactor kettle, and heating the reaction kettle at 100-150℃; (ii) adding 10-20 pts. wt. extracted oil into the reaction kettle, and reacting for 1hours; (iii) adding styrene-butadiene-styrene rubber modifier into the reaction kettle, heating the reaction kettle at 150-170℃, and reacting for 2-4 hours; (iv) cooling the temperature of the reaction kettle at 80±5℃, adding castor oil and tackifying resin into the reaction kettle, and reacting for 1-1.5 hours; (5) cooling the temperature of the reaction kettle at 40±5℃, and adding liquid rubber, calcium hydroxide and surfactant into the reaction kettle and stirring for 0.5 hours; and (vi) cooling the temperature of the reaction kettle to room temperature to obtain a bio-based normal temperature asphalt modifier.
