NOVELTY - Producing nitrogen-doped carbon, comprises (1) adding 7.2 g (R)-2-((3S,4R,5R)-4,5-dihydroxy-1,2-dioxan-3-yl)-2-hydroxyacetaldehyde (I), 2.1 g ethanol and 4 ml 1H-pyrrole (II) into 80 ml graphene oxide dispersion solution having concentration of 2 mg/ml, performing sonication for 1 hour, and uniformly dispersing the four substances, (2) adding the uniformly dispersed mixture into a 100 ml Teflon (RTM: Polytetrafluoroethylene) water kettle, and hydrothermally treating at 180 degrees C for 12 hours, (3) repeatedly washing the obtained solid product for three times with deionized water and absolute ethanol, and drying in an oven at 80 degrees C, (4) uniformly mixing the obtained solid product and potassium hydroxide at weight ratio of 1:4, placing the obtained product in a tube furnace, and heating, (5) repeatedly washing the activated product with 10 wt.% hydrochloric acid and deionized water to remove residual ions, and finally drying to obtain a nitrogen-doped carbon product. USE - The nitrogen-doped carbon is useful in solar cell (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is environmentally friendly. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Producing nitrogen-doped carbon, comprises (1) adding 7.2 g (R)-2-((3S,4R,5R)-4,5-dihydroxy-1,2-dioxan-3-yl)-2-hydroxyacetaldehyde of formula (I), 2.1 g ethanol and 4 ml 1H-pyrrole of formula (II) into 80 ml graphene oxide dispersion solution having concentration of 2 mg/ml, performing sonication for 1 hour, and uniformly dispersing the four substances, (2) adding the uniformly dispersed mixture into a 100 ml Teflon (RTM: Polytetrafluoroethylene) water kettle, and hydrothermally treating at 180 degrees C for 12 hours, (3) repeatedly washing the obtained solid product for three times with deionized water and absolute ethanol, and drying in an oven at 80 degrees C, (4) uniformly mixing the obtained solid product and potassium hydroxide at weight ratio of 1:4, placing the obtained product in a tube furnace, and heating at 900 degrees C for 1 hour, (5) repeatedly washing the activated product with 10 wt.% hydrochloric acid and deionized water to remove residual ions, and finally drying to obtain a nitrogen-doped carbon product.
