NOVELTY - Method for preparing a graphene modified super absorbent fiber involves preparing a polyvinyl alcohol solution, adding a graphene organic dispersion under ultrasonic conditions to form a mixed solution of polyvinyl alcohol and graphene, heating the mixed solution of polyvinyl alcohol and graphene, adding succinic acid to react to obtain a spinning solution, performing defoaming treatment and wet spinning, sequentially subjecting the obtained modified polyvinyl alcohol primary fibers to coagulation bath, cold stretching and hot stretching treatments, cooling and subjecting to saponification treatment. USE - The method is useful for preparing a graphene modified super absorbent fiber. ADVANTAGE - The method utilizes graphene and succinic acid jointly to modify polyvinyl alcohol and improves strength modulus and water absorption capacity of polyvinyl alcohol fibers. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the graphene modified super absorbent fiber prepared by the method comprising polyvinyl alcohol, graphene and succinic acid.
