NOVELTY - Extraction and purification of high efficiency graphene oxide comprises oxidizing graphite flake by adding concentrated sulfuric acid, potassium permanganate and sodium nitrate, adding distilled water, controlling temperature to 100 degrees C, adding hydrogen peroxide and dilute hydrochloric acid, performing ultrasonic treatment, dispersing with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate or benzene, adding cationic surfactant, mixing, static layering, removing water, adjusting pH value, removing extraction solvent, and performing thermal reduction of graphene in furnace under inert gas. USE - Method for extracting and purifying high efficiency graphene oxide (claimed) used in capacitor, fuel cells, seal material and catalyst carrier. ADVANTAGE - The method is simple, inexpensive and time-saving. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Extraction and purification of high efficiency graphene oxide comprises oxidizing graphite flake by adding concentrated sulfuric acid, potassium permanganate and sodium nitrate for 6 hours, adding distilled water, controlling temperature to 100 degrees C, adding hydrogen peroxide and dilute hydrochloric acid to remove excess potassium permanganate, performing ultrasonic treatment for 0.5-4 hours, dispersing with petroleum ether, ethyl acetate or benzene, adding cationic surfactant, mixing, static layering, removing water, adjusting pH value to 6-7, removing extraction solvent, and performing thermal reduction of graphene in furnace under inert gas.
