NOVELTY - Preparation of silver-loaded graphene/copper self-lubricating material involves (i) dispersing graphene nanosheets and sodium lauryl sulfate in dimethylformamide to obtain a dispersion, (ii) evenly dispersing a silver nitrate solution and the dispersion to obtain a precursor solution, (iii) hydrothermally-treating the precursor solution at 60-90degrees Celsius, (iv) separating precipitate in the obtained mixed system, (v) washing, (vi) drying to obtain silver-loaded graphene, (vii) uniformly mixing the silver-loaded graphene and a copper powder, (viii) sintering in a vacuum hot-pressing and sintering furnace at 700-800degrees Celsius, and (ix) cooling in the furnace. The ratio of graphene nanosheets, sodium lauryl sulfate and dimethylformamide is (0.05-0.15) g:(0.05-0.15) g:(30-50) ml. The ratio of silver nitrate with respect to graphene nanosheets in the dispersion is (8-60) mmol:(0.01-0.15) g. USE - Preparation method of silver-loaded graphene/copper self-lubricating material (claimed) used in industrial application and vehicle application including brake of train, high-speed train pantograph and high-voltage switch electric contact head. ADVANTAGE - The method provides silver-loaded graphene/copper self-lubricating material with good conductivity and friction performance by hot-pressing and sintering.
