NOVELTY - Graphite, concentrated sulfuric acid, sodium nitrate and potassium permanganate are mixed and reacted. The resulting mixture is transferred to water bath, mixture is diluted with deionized water, and hydrogen peroxide is added. Hydrochloric acid solution is added to resulting mixture, washed with distilled water and freeze-dried to obtain graphite oxide. Graphite oxide is added to N,N-dimethylformamide solution, and ultrasonic processing is carried out to obtain uniform dispersion. Hydrazine hydrate as reducing agent is added to dispersion, washed and dried to obtain graphene. USE - Preparation of graphene used for lithium battery assembly (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method provides graphene having excellent electrochemical property, under mild reaction conditions by simple and economical process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Graphite, concentrated sulfuric acid, sodium nitrate and potassium permanganate are mixed and reacted in ice bath for 2 hours. The resulting mixture is transferred to water bath at 35 degrees C for 12 hours, mixture is diluted with deionized water, 30 vol.% hydrogen peroxide is added and stirred for 30 minutes. 5% Hydrochloric acid solution is added to resulting mixture, washed with distilled water and freeze-dried to obtain graphite oxide. Graphite oxide is added to N,N-dimethylformamide solution, and ultrasonic processing is carried out for 1 hour to obtain 10 mg/mL uniform dispersion. Hydrazine hydrate as reducing agent is added to dispersion, washed and dried to obtain graphene. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for usage method of graphene for lithium battery assembly, which involves mixing graphene, polyvinylidene fluoride and acetylene black in a mass ratio of 80:10:10, grinding, coating resulting mixture on copper cathode, providing lithium metal as reference electrode, electrolyte is 1M lithium perchlorate of ethylene carbonate, diethyl carbonate or ethyl methyl carbonate in a volume ratio of 1:1:1, and assembling.
