NOVELTY - The preparation of polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene/polypyrrole composite hydrogel involves dispersing graphene oxide, 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide and triethylamine in organic solvent, reacting to obtain graphene oxide containing initiation group, dispersing in water, adding catalyst, activator, dipyridine and sodium styrene sulfonate, reacting to obtain polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene oxide, adding reducing agent to carry out reaction to obtain polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene, and adding with pyrrole and oxidizing agent for reaction. USE - Preparation of polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene/polypyrrole composite hydrogel used as drug controlled release material (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables preparation of polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene/polypyrrole composite hydrogel with high mechanical strength, excellent electrochemical performance and high electrical stimulation response, and achieves the effective control of drug release. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The preparation of polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene/polypyrrole composite hydrogel involves dispersing graphene oxide, 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide and triethylamine in an organic solvent, reacting to obtain graphene oxide containing initiation group, dispersing graphene oxide in water, adding catalyst, activator, dipyridine and sodium styrene sulfonate, reacting under protective atmosphere to obtain polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene oxide, adding reducing agent with above graphene oxide to carry out reaction to obtain polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene, and adding water-dispersed polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene, pyrrole and oxidizing agent for reaction. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for usage of polystyrene sulfonic acid grafted graphene/polypyrrole composite hydrogel as drug controlled release material.
