NOVELTY - Manufacture of nanomaterials concentrate in polymer involves (a) preparing the carbon nanomaterials directly in the solvent, in amount of 0.5-20 g/L, (b) exfoliating the mixture obtained in step (a) via bath ultrasound, (c) centrifuging the dispersion obtained in step (b) and collecting the supernatant, (d) adding the polymer matrix to the material obtained in step (c), (e) milling by three roll mill the material obtained in step (d), (f) repeating the process in step (e) between 1-15 times, (g) vacuum degassing the material obtained in step (f), (h) adding the hardener to polymer resin in a ratio of 100:05-100:70, (i) mixing via manual or mechanical agitation the material obtained in step (h) until complete homogenization, (j) molding the material obtained in step (i), and (k) performing the cure and post-cure of the material obtained in step (j). USE - Manufacture of nanomaterials concentrate in polymer. ADVANTAGE - The method enables easy and simple manufacture of nanomaterials concentrate in polymer with reduced processing/dispersion steps through the development of processing method with optimization of the preparation time, without the need for expensive solvent removal steps and improved quality of the dispersion.
