NOVELTY - Manufacture of polydopamine-modified reduced graphene oxide-sulfur composite involves dispersing graphene oxide in distilled water to produce a graphene oxide suspension, adding the graphene oxide suspension and polydopamine to a mixed solution of a tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane-buffer solution and a hydrogen chloride solution to prepare a mixed solution containing reduced graphene oxide, separating to obtain polydopamine surface-modified graphene oxide, mixing the polydopamine-modified graphene oxide with sulfur, and coating the polydopamine-modified graphene oxide with sulfur by melt-diffusion method. USE - Manufacture of polydopamine-modified reduced graphene oxide-sulfur composite used as positive electrode for lithium-sulfur battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The prepared polydopamine-modified reduced graphene oxide-sulfur composite effectively prevents bulky expansion of the positive electrode material and suppresses elution of soluble polysulfide, thereby exhibiting excellent and stable lifetime characteristics.
