NOVELTY - Preparing zinc stannate-graphene oxide coated composite material comprises e.g. mixing zinc salt and tin salts, dissolving in the dissolving solutions, uniformly mixing, performing magnetic stirring, calcining the dried product, performing ultrasonic dispersion of zinc stannate in solution, adding surface-treating agent, performing magnetic stirring, mixing aqueous solution of graphene oxide with pre-dispersed product, continuing magnetic stirring for 2-8 hours and performing centrifugal drying under an inert atmosphere, to obtain zinc stannate/reduced graphene oxide coated composite material. USE - The zinc stannate-graphene oxide coated composite material is useful in sodium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method has simple easy preparation procedure and suitable for industrial production; produces product having high specific capacity; and is environmental friendly, economical and consumes less energy. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing zinc stannate-graphene oxide coated composite material comprises (i) mixing zinc salt and tin salts, dissolving in the dissolving solutions, uniformly mixing, carrying out magnetic stirring at 10-80 degrees C for 6-24 hours, carrying out centrifugal drying, calcining the dried product at 400-650 degrees C in air atmosphere for 2-4 hours, to obtain porous cube-shaped zinc stannate; (ii) carrying out ultrasonic dispersion of step (i) obtained zinc stannate in the solution, adding surface-treating agent at 10-50 degrees C, carrying out magnetic stirring, mixing aqueous solution of graphene oxide with pre-dispersed product, continuing magnetic stirring for 2-8 hours, carrying out centrifugal drying at 400-650 degrees C under an inert atmosphere for 2-4 hours, to obtain zinc stannate/reduced graphene oxide coated composite material, where the surface treatment agent is cetyl trimethyl ammonium bromide, (3-aminopropyl)triethoxysilane or (3-aminopropyl)trimethoxysilane.
