▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Developing blue emitting graphene quantum dots (GQDs) from graphene oxide, comprises: solvothermal cutting of graphene oxide at 175-200 degrees C for 6-8 hours to obtain a GQD solution; purifying the GQD solution through 0.45 mm PTFE membrane; and dialyzing a filtrate of the GQD solution in 1000 Da dialysis bag. USE - The method is useful for developing blue emitting graphene quantum dots from graphene oxide. ADVANTAGE - The method: utilizes single step and direct synthesis approach by using graphene oxide as a precursor material; involves an acid/alkali and chemical solvent-free solvothermal technique, hence does not require neutralization of strong acids, and involves a simple, recycling and environmentally friendly purification process, effective for scale up synthesis at high yield; is economical; provides a moderately high (60%) product yield; and develops blue emitting graphene quantum dots which exhibit blue photoluminescence property with significantly high quantum yield (19.5%) efficiency than other reported graphene oxide based work and exhibit uniform distribution of particle size of 2-6 nm.
