NOVELTY - Lithium ion battery comprises double-layer coating layer of positive pole element, where the positive pole element containing the double-layer coating layer comprises current collector, first coating layer coated on both sides of the current collector, and second coating layer coated on the surface of the first coating layer. The first coating comprises active material (A), activated carbon, conductive agent and binder. The active material (A) comprises layered transition metal oxide and an olivine structure phosphate compound. The second coating comprises active material (B), conductive agent and binder. The active material (B) comprises at least one of layered transition metal oxides. USE - As lithium ion battery. ADVANTAGE - The method improves the adhesion between the positive electrode current collector and the positive electrode active material coating, improves the needle stick safety performance of lithium-ion battery, and improves the rate discharge performance of the battery.
