NOVELTY - Silicon-based anode material comprises porous silicon-silicon oxide composite (I), lithium metal coating layer coated on the porous silicon-silicon oxide and amorphous carbon coating layer covering the outer surface of the lithium metal coating layer. USE - The anode material is used in a lithium ion battery (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The anode material exhibits synergistic effect, improves the conductivity and rate performance of the silicon-based material, reduces the polarization of the current, and volume expansion effect of silicon-based materials, improves cycle stability of the battery, has wide range of raw materials and is economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Silicon-based anode material comprises porous silicon composite of formula: Si-SiOx (I), lithium metal coating layer coated on the porous silicon-silicon oxide and amorphous carbon coating layer covering the outer surface of the lithium metal coating layer. x = 0-2. INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) a method for preparing the silicon-based negative electrode material involving (i) using lithium metal to pre-lithiation the porous silicon-silicon oxide composite to obtain pre-lithiated composite, and (ii) mixing carbon source with the pre-lithiation composite and performing pyrolysis treatment to obtain silicon-based negative electrode material; and (2) a lithium ion battery comprising a positive electrode and a negative electrode, where the negative electrode is the silicon-based negative electrode material.
