NOVELTY - Method for preparing carbon/stannic oxide/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composite negative electrode material, involves (i) dissolving tin tetrachloride pentahydrate in ethylene glycol, stirring and dispersing to obtain solution (A), adding sodium gluconate to the graphene oxide dispersion, stirring and dispersing to obtain solution (B), (ii) dripping solution (A)into solution (B) under stirring condition, and stirring to obtain a black mixed liquid, (iii) transferring the black mixed liquid to a reaction kettle lined with PTFE, increasing the temperature to react, and cooling to normal temperature to obtain a black suspension, (iv) centrifuging the black suspension, removing the supernatant, washing, and centrifuging to obtain a precipitate and (v) dissolving the precipitate in absolute ethanol, ultrasonically dispersing, drying it to obtain a black powder and grinding to the product. USE - Method for preparing carbon/stannic oxide/reduced graphene oxide (rGO) composite negative electrode material, which is used for preparing lithium ion battery (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method suppresses the volume expansion of stannic oxide, shortens the lithium ion diffusion path, and has excellent cycle stability and high reversible capacity performance, uses solvothermal method to grow stannic oxide nanoparticles on the surface of reduced graphene oxide and is economical. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the lithium ion battery comprising positive electrode, negative electrode and electrolyte, where the negative electrode comprises the lithium ion battery carbon/stannic oxide/reduced graphene oxide composite negative electrode material.
