NOVELTY - Preparing seawater desalination material based on polyurethane foam comprises (i) reducing graphene oxide with hydrazine hydrate and grafting on a polyurethane sponge to obtain polyurethane sponge grafted with reduced graphene oxide, and(ii) adding urushiol to the ferric salt-ethanol solution and ultrasonically dispersing to obtain mixed solution, then adding the polyurethane sponge grafted with reduced graphene oxide to the mixed solution, assembling the urushiol iron conjugated polymer on the polyurethane sponge through self-assembly, and drying to obtain modified sponge to obtain seawater desalination material. USE - The method is useful for preparing seawater desalination material based on polyurethane foam. ADVANTAGE - The method: reduces the heat loss caused by heat transfer to the water body; has good solar energy utilization and evaporation rate, and good salt resistance.
