▎ 摘 要
NOVELTY - Magnesium (Mg)-ion-battery comprises a cathode electrically coupled to a magnesium (Mg)-rich cathode material, or electrically coupled to an iron (Fe)-rich cathode material, an anode electrically coupled to a carbonaceous material, or the anode is electrically coupled to metallic Mg, and a membrane-cum-electrolyte including a coating of a magnesium (Mg)-enriched electrolyte material on a membrane. The membrane-cumelectrolyte is positioned between the cathode and the anode. The cathode, the anode, and the membrane-cum-electrolyte are retained within a casing in a compact configuration. USE - Mg-ion-battery. ADVANTAGE - The Mg-ion-battery exhibits a specific capacity of up to 700 milliampere-hours per gram mass (mAh/g), and a cycle stability of up to 10,000 (C) cycles at 0.1-1C, enhanced gravimetric energy density of the order of three times the value reported so far in the state-of-the-art in the literature, and excellent cyclability of about 10,000 cycles. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method of fabricating a Mg-ion-battery comprising positioning a membrane-cum-electrolyte between a cathode and an anode, which involves making a slurry of a natural phyllosilicate in an organic solvent, coating the slurry on both sides of a flexible membrane, and drying the coated membrane in vacuum at 600℃ to remove the organic solvent.
