NOVELTY - A biodegradable graphene oxide biocomposite fibrous membrane comprises biodegradable graphene oxide biocomposite fibers. The fibers comprise an outer layer comprising graphene oxide-biodegradable polymer nanofibers, and an inner layer comprising sodium alginate/polyvinyl alcohol nanocomposite fibers. USE - Graphene oxide biocomposite fibrous membrane used for preparing medical material e.g. medical dressing, surgical suture, and drug carrier (all claimed), and useful for improving antibacterial and bacteriostasis effect, and improving wound healing. ADVANTAGE - The biodegradable and low-toxic graphene oxide biocomposite fibrous membrane has excellent biocompatibility, swellability, mechanical properties, bioabsorbability, and chemical stability.
