NOVELTY - Preparing nickel cobalt duplex lamellar metal hydroxide/graphene electrocatalyst comprises uniformly dispersing graphite and cobalt nitrate in methanol solvent by ultrasonic wave to obtain ultrasonic liquid, adding ultrasonic liquid into dimethylimidazole containing methanol solution, stirring uniformly, allowing to stand, centrifuging, washing and drying to obtain ZIF-67/graphene composite material, mixing with nickel salt, dissolving in a mixed solvent of absolute ethanol and water, refluxing, centrifugally separating, washing with anhydrous alcohol to obtain precipitate and drying. USE - The method is useful for preparing nickel cobalt duplex lamellar metal hydroxide/graphene electrocatalyst. ADVANTAGE - The method: has less demand for device; is carried out at a low temperature and low pressure; does not require expensive surfactant; is simple and economical; and is easy to control and is suitable for large scale industrial production. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing nickel cobalt duplex lamellar metal hydroxide/graphene electrocatalyst comprises (a) uniformly dispersing graphite and cobalt nitrate in methanol solvent by ultrasonic wave to obtain ultrasonic liquid, (b) adding the ultrasonic liquid into dimethylimidazole containing methanol solution, stirring uniformly, allowing to stand, centrifuging, washing and drying to obtain ZIF-67/graphene composite material (c) mixing with nickel salt, dissolving in a mixed solvent of absolute ethanol and water, refluxing, reacting, centrifugally separating, washing with anhydrous alcohol to obtain precipitate and drying. The imidazole metal organic framework ZIF-67 is used as a precursor.
