▎ 摘 要

NOVELTY - Medical device comprises a substrate, and a graphene coating, where the graphene coating is substantially transparent, and the graphene coating has a thickness less than 20 mu m. USE - The medical device is useful: as an ocular device, where the ocular device is a keratoprosthesis, intrastromal corneal ring segment, corneal inlays, glaucoma valve, iris prosthesis, intraocular lens, scleral substitute, or retinal implant; for promoting proliferation or cell adhesion of a cell on a prosthetic device, where the cell is a host cell or host tissue, an allogenic or xenogeneic cell, or preferably the cell is human corneal limbal cell, human limbal epithelial stem cell, human corneal epithelial cell or human retinal pigment epithelial cell; for cell delivery system; promoting biointegrating of the prosthesis or the device to a subject (all claimed); and in treating corneal diseases. Test details are described but no results given. ADVANTAGE - The medical device utilizes graphene coating having a thickness preferably less than 100 nm and a light transmittance greater than 80%, preferably 90% (claimed), thus exhibiting substantially high transmittance, biointegrity and biocompatibility. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) manufacturing (M1) the medical device, comprising depositing the graphene coating on the substrate; (2) manufacturing (M2) a prosthesis, comprising coating the substrate of the prosthesis with the graphene, where the coated graphene is substantially transparent and has a thickness less than 20 mu m; (3) manufacturing (M3) an ocular device, comprising coating the substrate of the ocular device with graphene; (4) promoting (M4) proliferation or cell adhesion of a cell on a prosthetic device, comprising providing the device and contacting the device to an ocular cell; (5) a method (M5) of for cell delivery system, comprising providing the device, where the device further comprising an ocular cell; and (6) promoting (M6) biointegrating of the prosthesis or the device to a subject, comprising coating the prosthesis or device with the graphene.
