NOVELTY - Broad-spectrum absorbing catalytic fiber comprises catalyst carrier and light-absorbing material. The light-absorbing material includes Bi2MO6 material anchored with precious metal nanoparticle and carbon thermal conductive material, where M in the Bi2MO6 material is an element of sixith group-B. The absorption spectrum range of the broad-spectrum absorption catalytic fiber is 300-2400 nanometer. USE - Broad-spectrum absorbing catalytic fiber used for photothermal decomposition of indoor and outdoor volatile organic compounds (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The broad-spectrum absorbing catalytic fiber has a broad-spectrum absorption between 300-2400 nanometer, and is used for photothermal decomposition of indoor and outdoor volatile organic compounds with high catalytic efficiency, 300 watt xenon lamp light can achieve 45-96% volatile organic compounds decomposition for 30-60 minutes, which has good application prospect. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a method for preparing the broad-spectrum absorbing catalytic fiber, which involves: (a)washing the catalyst carrier with the washing liquid;(b)drying for later use;(c)mixing the precious metal salt solution, the carbon thermal conductive material, the precursor solution, and the dried catalyst carrier;(d)stirring;(e)dispersing to obtain catalyst;(f)heating, centrifugal washing;(g)drying the obtained catalyst precursor successively to obtain broad-spectrum absorbing catalytic fiber.
