NOVELTY - A plasmonic substrate comprises a layer of graphene and discretes, individual transition metal chalcogenide nanodomes distributed on a surface of the layer of graphene, each nanodome surrounded by bare graphene. USE - Plasmonic substrate used for optoelectronic device (claimed) such as biosensor and photodetector, and sensing applications to detect variety of chemical or biological compounds. ADVANTAGE - The substrate efficiently increases the effective intensity of the incident light and shorten radiative decay lifetime of molecules (Purcell effect). DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) optoelectronic device; and (2) manufacture of plasmonic substrate.
