NOVELTY - An additive comprises dimerized linoleic acid, tert-butylferrocene, oleic acid-modified nano-iron and/or oleic acid-modified graphene, 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol, and polyether compound. USE - Additive is used in diesel fuel composition (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The additive provides surfactant-free clean diesel fuel composition having improved cetane number, excellent lubricity, high flash point, low freezing point and reduced emission of particulate pollutants. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are included for the following: (1) preparation of additive, which involves heating a mixed reaction system comprising paraformaldehyde and 2-5C alcohol to 50-120 degrees C in presence of a strong acid resin catalyst, distilling resultant product, obtaining the polyether compound, and uniformly mixing resultant with dimerized linoleic acid, tert-butylferrocene, oleic acid-modified nano-iron and/or oleic acid-modified graphene and 2,6-di-tert-butyl-p-cresol; and (2) diesel fuel composition, which comprises a base diesel and 1-20 wt.% additive.
