NOVELTY - Preparing an amorphous composite catalyst, comprises: (1) adding cobalt(II) sulfate, nickel(II) sulfate or zinc sulfate with a deionized water; (2) adding graphene to the reaction solution; (3) adding sodium hydroxide and sodium borohydride to the obtained resulting mixture; (4) slowly adding the obtained solution in the step (3) with a base using a burette and then stirring; (5) filtering, washing and drying the mixture after completing the step (4); (6) immersing the reaction mixture in sodium hydroxide solution; and then (7) filtering, washing, drying and milling to obtain product. USE - The method is useful for preparing amorphous composite catalyst (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method is capable of simply preparing the amorphous composite catalyst with good dispersive property, high catalytic efficiency and stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing an amorphous composite catalyst, comprises: (1) adding cobalt(II) sulfate, nickel(II) sulfate or zinc sulfate with a deionized water; (2) adding graphene to the above reaction solution having a pH of 5-7 under ultrasonic treatment for 0.5-3 hours; (3) adding 0.05-2 mole/l of sodium hydroxide and sodium borohydride to the resulting mixture obtained in the step (2); (4) slowly adding the obtained solution in the step (3) with a base using a burette, and then stirring the solution using a magnetic stirrer; (5) filtering, washing and drying the reaction mixture after the completion of dropwise addition in the step (4); (6) immersing the reaction mixture in 20-30% of sodium hydroxide solution for 1 hour; and then (7) filtering, washing, drying and milling. An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the amorphous composite catalyst prepared by the above method.
