NOVELTY - A high specific surface area multi-fold hollow graphene microspheres comprises hollow graphene microspheres ball wall made up of 1-6 layers of graphene sheets by pi-pi conjugation. The surface of the microspheres is covered with wrinkles. The diameter of microspheres is 500 nm-10 mu m. The surface area of internal hollow microspheres is 500-2000 m2/g. The microspheres are composed of defect-free graphene with a perfect conjugated structure of less than 0.001. USE - High specific surface area multi-fold hollow graphene microspheres for electromagnetic shielding application, absorbing application, battery and capacitor. ADVANTAGE - The high specific surface area multi-fold hollow graphene microspheres has high strength, flexibility and excellent electrical conductivity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for a preparation of hollow microspheres with high specific surface area and multiple fold-free hollow defects, which involves obtaining oxidized graphene microspheres by atomization drying of dilute solution of graphene oxide, obtaining oxidized graphene microspheres with free water content of 5-20 wt.%, heating the oxidized graphene microspheres at 800-1300 degrees C at the rate of 15-20 degrees C/minute, insulating for 10 minutes, carrying out graphitization treatment at 3000 degrees C at the rate of 1-5 degrees C/minute.
