NOVELTY - The heater (10) has a graphene film (3) positioned on first and second transparent base materials (1) e.g. diamond films, where electrodes (11) are arranged at ends of the graphene film for functioning as a heat generating body. Thickness of the graphene film is more than 0.3 nanometer (nm) and below 7.2 nm and sheet resistance of the graphene film is more than 1.0 kilo ohm/square and below 24.0 kilo ohm/square. Total thickness of the graphene film and the first base material is 100 micrometers or less. USE - Thin planar heater i.e. surface heater (claimed), for use in a light control and color conversion device for a light proof curtain and a display apparatus affixed on a window of a motor vehicle. Can also be used as a ribbon heater, antifogging heater, dew condensation prevention heater and snow melting heater for building roof, arcade, electric train and aircraft, stage heater for microscope, flexible portable heater, electric blanket, electric carpet, warm bench, heater for pre-heating/ drying electronic office equipment e.g. copying machine facsimile machine and printer, heater for stretcher and water-purifier freeze prevention heater, heater for ETC apparatus snow accretion prevention, snow melting heater for coin parking, shinkansen platform roof snow melting heater, multi-story car park snow melting heater, roof snow melting heater, high place scaffold freeze prevention heater, slimming apparatus for cosmetics, heater for water beds, treatment cap for hairdressing, thermotherapy device, far-infrared hyperthermic therapy pad, leg warmer and a cosmetics hand warmer. ADVANTAGE - The heater is provided with the graphene film that is tracked with shape of required application device such that low-power-consumption is enabled for drive of the heater, while improving uniformity and heat generation efficiency in a surface of the heater.
