NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene-polyvinyl alcohol functional composite fiber involves mixing graphene or its derivative with polyvinyl alcohol in mixed solvent, adding a gelling agent, stirring to obtain a gelling solution, spraying the gelling solution into a coagulation bath to obtain jelly filaments and carrying out thermal stretching of the jelly filaments. USE - Preparation of graphene-polyvinyl alcohol functional composite fibers used in building and industrial applications. ADVANTAGE - The method enables simple, efficient and economical preparation of graphene-polyvinyl alcohol functional composite fibers with tensile strength of 1.4-2.2 GPa, Young's modulus of 36 GPa, elongation at break of 10%, high productivity, high strength, high modulus, excellent surface smoothness, circularity, antibacterial effect and ultraviolet shielding characteristics. The composite fibers can be industrially manufactured.
