NOVELTY - Preparation of composite materials by in-situ generating carbon dots on surface of copper powder involves (s1) dissolving carbon source and nitrogen source or carbon-nitrogen source in water, stirring until fully dissolved, adding copper powder, and continuously stirring and mixing for 1-30 minutes, (s2) placing the obtained mixture in a reaction kettle for high-temperature reaction, (s3) cooling to room temperature, opening the reaction kettle, filtering to obtain solid powder, and repeatedly cleaning the organic solvent for more than 3 times, (s4) drying the cleaned solid powder, annealing and reducing the solid powder in a reducing atmosphere, and (s5) sintering. USE - Preparation of composite materials by in-situ generating carbon dots on surface of copper powder used in powder metallurgy and composite material preparation applications. ADVANTAGE - The method does not need expensive reinforced raw materials such as graphene and carbon nano tube, greatly improves the mechanical property of the copper-based composite material under the premise of keeping the conductivity at the same level of pure copper, has simple process flow, economical, repeatability and operability are strong, and it can prepare high performance copper- based composite material in large scale.
