NOVELTY - An antistatic flame-retardant composite material comprises 55-85 pts. wt. polyamide elastomer, 5-15 pts. wt. red phosphorus flame retardant, 3-15 pts. wt. synergistic antistatic flame retardant, 0.2-2 pts. wt. coupling agent, 0.5-3 pts. wt. dispersant, 3-10 pts. wt. compatibilizer and 0.1-2 pts. wt. antioxidant. The synergistic antistatic flame retardant comprises graphene and carbon nano tubes in a weight ratio of (2-5):1-10. USE - Antistatic flame-retardant composite material used for preparing antistatic rubber wheels or gaskets (all claimed) used in electronics and electrical, automobiles, industry, food packaging, medical equipment and sports goods application. ADVANTAGE - The material has excellent antistatic performance, surface resistance value of 102-107Ω, excellent flame retardancy, not less than UL94V1 level, low smoke, no halogen hazard, excellent mechanical properties, high elongation at break and low hardness. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of antistatic flame-retardant composite material, which involves (S1) mixing red phosphorus flame retardant, synergistic antistatic flame retardant, coupling agent and compatibilizer to obtain material (A), (S2) adding polyamide elastomer, dispersant and antioxidant into the material (A), mixing to obtain material (B), and (S3) melting, mixing, extruding and granulating the material (B). The step (S2) preferably involves placing a portion of polyamide elastomer, red phosphorus flame retardant, synergistic antistatic flame retardant, coupling agent, compatibilizer, dispersant and antioxidant into internal mixer for banburying for a period of time to prepare masterbatch, mixing the masterbatch with the remaining portion of polyamide elastomer, extruding and granulating by twin-screw extruder, or further banburying the masterbatch and the polyamide elastomer, and extruding and granulating through single-screw extruder.
