NOVELTY - Brazing carbon material and nickel-based alloy using silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal involves taking 85-97.5 wt.% silver powder and 2.5-15 wt.% chromium powder, mechanical ball milling, preparing the uniformly mixed silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal, placing the silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal into the tableting mold, pressing into brazing filler metal foil, using sand paper respectively carbon material and nickel base alloy, ultrasonically cleaning to obtain the to-be-welded carbon material base material and nickel base alloy base material. The to-be-welded carbon material base material and nickel base alloy base material according to the order of carbon material/brazing material foil/nickel base alloy are orderly overlapped to obtain the assembled test piece to be welded. USE - Method for brazing carbon material and nickel-based alloy using silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal. ADVANTAGE - The method enables to braze carbon material and nickel-based alloy by using silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal has good shaping, chromium active element can generate strong chemical reaction with the carbon material base material, forming uniform and continuous reaction layer, realizing interface wetting and tight connection of the carbon material. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Brazing carbon material and nickel-based alloy using silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal involves taking 85-97.5 wt.% silver powder and 2.5-15 wt.% chromium powder, mechanical ball milling, preparing the uniformly mixed silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal, placing the silver-chromium composite brazing filler metal into the tableting mold, pressing into brazing filler metal foil, using sand paper respectively carbon material and nickel base alloy, ultrasonically cleaning to obtain the to-be-welded carbon material base material and nickel base alloy base material. The to-be-welded carbon material base material and nickel base alloy base material according to the order of carbon material/brazing material foil/nickel base alloy are orderly overlapped to obtain the assembled test piece to be welded. The test piece to be welded is placed in a vacuum brazing furnace, when the vacuum degree is less than 3 x 10-3 Pa. The heating switch is started, control the heating rate at 3-15 degrees C/minute to the brazing temperature, control the brazing temperature to be 1100-965 degrees C for brazing, and the to-be-welded piece is cooled to room temperature.
