NOVELTY - Double self-healing antibacterial hydrogel comprises O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt, polyvinyl alcohol, graphite oxide and mixed crosslinking agent, where the amount of O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt is 20-100% of the mass of polyvinyl alcohol, and the amount of graphene oxide is 1-13.3% of the mass of polyvinyl alcohol, the mixed crosslinking agent includes dialdehyde starch and boric acid, and the amount of mixed crosslinking agent is 3.4-17.2% of the mass of polyvinyl alcohol. USE - The dual self-healing antibacterial hydrogel is useful in preparing biomedicine and personal hygiene materials (claimed). ADVANTAGE - The hydrogel: has double healing effect and significantly improved self-healing effect. The method solves problems of chitosan hydrogel is brittle and easy to break, and traditional polyvinyl alcohol and chitosan hydrogels have no antibacterial or insufficient antibacterial properties. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for preparing dual self-healing antibacterial hydrogel, comprising (i) dissolving polyvinyl alcohol in water to obtain polyvinyl alcohol solution, (ii) dissolving O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt in water to obtain O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt solution, (iii) adding polyvinyl alcohol solution to O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt solution and mixing to obtain O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt/polyvinyl alcohol composite solution, (iv) ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide in water to obtain graphene oxide dispersion, and then adding graphene oxide dispersion to O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt/polyvinyl alcohol composite solution, mixing well to obtain O-chitosan quaternary ammonium salt/polyvinyl alcohol/graphene oxide composite solution, (v) mixing dialdehyde starch and boric acid to obtain mixed crosslinking agent, (vi) mixing composite solution with mixed cross-linking agent, keeping in a water bath, and completing cross-linking reaction to obtain double self-healing antibacterial hydrogel.
