NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene oxide/clay composite material involves ultrasonically dispersing graphene oxide in organic amine ethanol solution, reacting, washing reaction product, vacuum-drying, sieving, ultrasonically dispersing clay in solvent, stirring, adding organic column supporting agent, reacting, washing reaction product, vacuum-drying, sieving, mixing graphene dispersion obtained by dispersing sieved graphene oxide material in organic solution, and clay dispersion obtained by dispersing sieved clay material in organic solution, evaporating, vacuum-drying, and sieving. USE - Preparation of graphene oxide/clay composite material used for separating and removing anion and anionic-form heavy metal in sewage (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The method enables economical preparation of graphene oxide/clay composite material with increased specific surface area and activated adsorption sites, high mechanical stability and thermal stability. The graphene oxide/clay composite material is easy to desorb and regenerate. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparation of graphene oxide/clay composite material involves ultrasonically dispersing 0.1-3 g graphene oxide in fixed volume of organic amine ethanol solution, reacting using microwave at power of 280 W for 3-6 hours, washing reaction product with ethanol and deionized water, respectively, vacuum-drying, sieving, ultrasonically dispersing 1-10 g clay in a fixed volume of solvent, stirring, adding 1-15% organic column supporting agent, reacting at 40-70 degrees C for 4-8 hours, washing reaction product with a solvent, vacuum-drying, sieving, adding 0.04-0.2 g sieved graphene oxide material to 100-500 mL organic solution, ultrasonically dispersing for 10-60 minutes, adding 0.15-0.75 g sieved clay material to 0.3-1.5 L organic solution, ultrasonically dispersing for 10-60 minutes, mixing graphene oxide dispersion and clay dispersion in ratio of 1:1-1:16, ultrasonically dispersing for 30-60 minutes, evaporating by rotary evaporation, vacuum-drying, and sieving.
