NOVELTY - A graphene oxide-cobalt ferrite composite is prepared by hydrothermal method at three different pH conditions. USE - Graphene oxide-cobalt ferrite composite is used as catalyst in treatment of water polluted by high solubility and significant toxicity of transition metal ions and complex recovery of metal ions from reaction medium, and degradation of 4-nitrophenol (all claimed). ADVANTAGE - The graphene oxide-cobalt ferrite composite has desired structure, surface morphology, adsorption characteristics, and visible-light photocatalytic activity.
