NOVELTY - Preparing upgrading biomass pyrolysis oil based on emulsification system electro-catalysis comprises (i) preparing an oil-water mixture of biomass pyrolysis oil and aqueous electrolyte solution, and storing at room temperature, (ii) preparing catalyst, i.e. noble metal-loaded graphene oxide, (iii) mixing oil-water mixture and noble metal-loaded graphene oxide and preparing a homogeneous emulsion, (iv) using homogeneous emulsion as an electrolyte, passing electric current to the electrolyte in an electrolytic cell to carry out an electrocatalytic reaction. USE - The method is useful for preparing upgrading biomass pyrolysis oil based on emulsification system electro-catalysis. ADVANTAGE - The method can prepare relatively saturated biomass pyrolysis oil, and reduce the oxygen content and heavy component content in the biomass pyrolysis oil, and avoids the generation of carbon deposition in the electrocatalysis process. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for an upgraded biomass pyrolysis oil prepared by the above method.
