NOVELTY - A synergistic flame retardant and smoke suppressing material comprises 100 pts. wt. polyurethane prepolymer, 1-10 pts. wt. chain extender, 1-5 pts. wt. graphene, 1-5 pts. wt. magnesium precursor, 1-5 pts. wt. aluminum precursor, 1-5 pts. wt. sodium hydroxide and 1-5 pts. wt odium carbonate. USE - Synergistic flame retardant and smoke suppressing material. ADVANTAGE - The thermoplastic polyurethane flame retardant material has uniform packing dispersion, low smoke density and is prepared by simple reaction process. The prepared flame retardant and smoke suppressing material improves compactness and integrity of dense carbon layer in thermoplastic elastomer polyurethane due to synergistic effect of graphene and magnesium aluminum double hydroxide. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparing graphene synergistic flame-retardant and smoke-suppressing material which involves preparing nanometer magnesium-aluminum double hydroxide/graphene (GO/Mg-ALLDHs) supported flame retardant.
