NOVELTY - Preparing antibacterial graphene oxide composite melamine resin comprises (i) mixing 4 wt.% polyacrylonitrile solution and 4 wt.% polyethylene oxide solution, adding nano silver, tetrabutyl titanate and graphene oxide, stirring uniformly, adding trifluoroethyl methacrylate and t-butyl hydrogenperoxide, heating to 60-70 degrees C, stirring and reacting for 1-2 hours, filtering and washing the filter cake using ethanol for 2-3 times to obtain modified graphene oxide; (ii) preparing melamine resin reaction solution; (iii) adding modified graphene oxide into melamine resin reaction solution and stirring for 10-20 minutes, adding alkaline pH adjusting agent for adjusting pH to 8-9 and reacting for 3-4 hours to obtain graphene oxide-containing melamine resin prepolymer; and (iv) vacuum drying the graphene oxide-containing melamine resin prepolymer in an oven at 30 degrees C, adjusting pH to 5-6, curing in an oven at 50 degrees C for 8-9 hours and molding. USE - The method is useful for preparing antibacterial graphene oxide composite melamine resin. ADVANTAGE - The composite melamine resin has good thermal conductivity, structure stable and heat stability. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Preparing antibacterial graphene oxide composite melamine resin comprises (i) dissolving polyacrylonitrile in dimethylformamide to obtain 4 wt.% polyacrylonitrile solution, dissolving polyethylene oxide in dimethylformamide/dichloromethane (in a volume ratio of 1:1) to obtain 4 wt.% polyethylene oxide solution, mixing the above two solutions, adding nano silver, tetrabutyl titanate and graphene oxide, stirring uniformly, adding trifluoroethyl methacrylate and t-butyl hydrogenperoxide, heating to 60-70 degrees C, stirring and reacting for 1-2 hours, filtering and washing the filter cake using ethanol for 2-3 times to obtain modified graphene oxide; (ii) (iia) stirring and dissolving polyvinyl alcohol in deionized water to obtain 1.8-13 mg/ml aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution, (iib) stirring and adding glacial acetic acid into aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution for adjusting pH to 2-6, (iic) stirring and uniformly mixing melamine and formaldehyde solution in a ratio of 1:1-1:6 and reacting at 60 degrees C for 30 minutes to obtain prepolymeric hydroxymethylmelamine, and (iid) stirring and mixing aqueous polyvinyl alcohol solution with prepolymeric hydroxymethylmelamine, incubating at 60 degrees C, continuously reacting for 6 minutes after the appearance of white turbidity, placing the mixture in ice bath at 0 degrees C, rapidly cooling and terminating the reaction to obtain milky white reaction solution i.e. melamine resin reaction solution; (iii) adding modified graphene oxide into melamine resin reaction solution and stirring for 10-20 minutes, adding alkaline pH adjusting agent for adjusting pH to 8-9 and reacting for 3-4 hours to obtain graphene oxide-containing melamine resin prepolymer; and (iv) vacuum drying the graphene oxide-containing melamine resin prepolymer in an oven at 30 degrees C, adjusting pH to 5-6, curing in an oven at 50 degrees C for 8-9 hours and molding.
