NOVELTY - An additive comprises 200-300 mg/L graphene oxide, 1000-2000 mg/L silica, 800-1500 mg/L sulfate, 2000-3000 mg/L stannous sulfate, 2000-3000 mg/L sodium edetate and remaining sulfuric acid solution having density of 1.05-1.4 g/cm3. USE - Additive for lead-acid battery electrolyte. ADVANTAGE - The additive improves electrochemical performance, cycle life and capacitance of the lead-acid storage battery. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of electrolyte additive, which involves adding sulfuric acid into pure water to adjust the density to 1.05-1.4 g/cm3, preparing dilute sulfuric acid, taking 1 L of diluted sulfuric acid, heating to 45-50 degrees C, adding silica, graphene oxide, sulfate, stannous sulfate, stirring for 40-50 minutes at rotating speed of 3000 rpm using high-speed mixer, stirring, and cooling to room temperature.
