NOVELTY - Plastic hydrolysis using binuclear metal complex catalyst, comprises carrying out plastic hydrolysis reaction in an alkaline aqueous solution under catalytic conditions to obtain a monomer, where the catalyst includes a binuclear metal complex (I). USE - The method is useful for plastic hydrolysis using binuclear metal complex catalyst. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Plastic hydrolysis using binuclear metal complex catalyst, comprises carrying out plastic hydrolysis reaction in an alkaline aqueous solution under catalytic conditions to obtain a monomer, where the catalyst includes a binuclear metal complex of formula (I). M1and M2= Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Mg, Ca, Mn, Zr, Ru, Pd or Pt (where the distance between the two atoms M1and M2is 2-4Å); L1-L6= organic ligand containing at least one hetero elements and using hetero atoms as coordination atoms; heteroatoms in L1-L6= N, O, S or P; Xn-= NO3-, Cl-, Br-, OAc-, OH-or SO42-.
