NOVELTY - A tea saponin-reduced graphene oxide composite material is prepared by adsorbing tea saponin on surface of reduced graphene oxide, and chemically bonding layered porous nanostructures having a smooth surface with reduced graphene oxide. USE - Tea saponin-reduced graphene oxide composite material used in treatment of wastewater. ADVANTAGE - The tea saponin-reduced graphene oxide composite material is prepared by simple process at low cost with high metal cations adsorption capacity and low biological toxicity. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of tea saponin-reduced graphene oxide composite material, which involves adding sodium borohydride and tea saponin to a graphene oxide dispersion, stirring, heating, precipitating, and post-treating the reaction solution.
