NOVELTY - A waterproof and flame-retardant sponge formulation is prepared by using 80-120 pts. wt. polyether polyol, 40-60 pts. wt. toluene diisocyanate, 80-120 pts. wt. ionized water, 2-6 pts. wt. catalyst, 1-2 pts. wt. low-boiling fluorocarbon compounds, 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. silicone foam stabilizer, 4-8 pts. wt. graphene block, 5-8 pts. wt. red phosphorus flame retardant, 5-8 pts. wt. neoprene rubber, 4-6 pts. wt. polysiloxane, 0.5-2 pts. wt. anti-aging agent and 1.5-2 pts. wt. antibacterial solution. USE - Waterproof and flame-retardant sponge formulation. ADVANTAGE - The sponge has excellent thermal oxidation stability, weather resistance, water resistance, salt spray resistance, anti-mold characteristics and waterproofness due to addition of polysiloxane. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for preparation of the waterproof and flame-retardant sponge, which involves (1) grinding 4-8 pts. wt. graphene block in a grinder, sieving using 800-1000 mesh screen, adding 5-8 pts. wt. red phosphorus flame retardant and 5-8 pts. wt. neoprene rubber to graphene powder to obtain flame-retardant mixture (A), (2) adding 80-120 pts. wt. polyether polyol, 40-60 pts. wt. toluene diisocyanate, 80-120 pts. wt. ionized water, 2-6 pts. wt. catalyst and 1-2 pts. wt. low-boiling fluorocarbon compounds to mixer, stirring at800-1200 rpm for 0.5-1 hour, (3) adding 0.5-1.5 pts. wt. silicone foam stabilizer to the mixture in step (2), using a blender to stir at 45-60degrees Celsius for 30-40 minutes, adding the flame-retardant mixture (A) to mixer, stirring to obtain initial sponge, (4) adding 4-6 pts. wt. polysiloxane, 0.5-2 pts. wt. anti-aging agent and 1.5-2 pts. wt. antibacterial solution to the initial sponge, stirring at 500-800 rpm, (5) injecting the mixture material in step (4) into molding machine, molding for 3-5 hours to shape it, adding to drying box for baking at 5degrees Celsius/H, obtaining waterproof and flame-retardant sponge, (6) placing the waterproof and flame-retardant sponge under a fan to blow away the powder on the surface, placing in a ventilated and cool place, cooling to 15-25degrees Celsius, (7) using cutter to cut the waterproof and flame-retardant sponge to a suitable size, packaging the sponge and storing.
