NOVELTY - The device has a substrate (2) and an antibacterial coating or antibacterial surface (1) being provided on a surface or a portion of a surface of the substrate. The coating/surface comprises Angstrom scale flakes being arranged in a standing position on the surface, and attached to the surface through edge sides. The flakes are graphene or graphite flakes. The antibacterial coating/surface is arranged on an external surface of the substrate facing away from lumen (3). The device is a medical device such as a catheter, medical tube, irrigation device or implant. The substrate is made of a plastic material, and polymer. The device forms an internal lumen. USE - Antibacterial device such as catheter for cleaning and sterilizing equipment. ADVANTAGE - The inventive antibacterial device reduces the number of bacteria in many situations, such as in tap water, in medical devices. It reduces bacteria to clean and sterilize equipment, and to use products in a clean way, thus avoiding contamination.
