NOVELTY - A glass fiber composite material comprises 60-80 wt.% superfine glass fiber, 20-40 wt.% aerogel, 3-6 wt.% sunscreen agent and 0.2-2.1 wt.% water-resistant modifier. The micro glass fiber comprises 56-72.6 wt.% silicon dioxide and 16.5-23 wt.% mixture of alumina, magnesium oxide and calcium oxide (Al2O3+MgO+CaO). USE - The glass fiber composite material is used in super heat insulating materials used for buildings, transportation vehicles, petrochemical industry, household appliance such as refrigerators. ADVANTAGE - The glass fiber material has excellent insulation property, strong heat resistance, improved corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and improved shelf life. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the preparation of glass fiber composite material. The method involves: 1) uniformly mixing waste glass, quartz sand, soda ash and other materials, smelting the mixture in a kiln, calcining into a glass liquid of uniform composition, introducing into a high-speed rotating centrifugal disc and removing the formed fine glass fiber with uniform fiber diameter; 2) completely soaking the fine glass fiber in a mixed solution of aerogel, sunscreen agent and water-resistant modifier, followed by freezing and molding the mixed solution containing the dispersed fiber; 3) carrying out vacuum freeze drying on the frozen and molded mixture; 4) calcining the mixture in nitrogen atmosphere.
