NOVELTY - Preparing nylon yarn involves mixing N, N-dimethylformamide, carboxyl-containing graphene oxide and catalyst with glycidyl neodecanoate, and reacting at 120-150 degrees C for 3-5 hours. The reaction material is cooled to normal temperature, centrifuged, and the centrifuged filter cake is placed in a vacuum drier at 75-80 degrees C under absolute pressure of less than or equal to 20 Pascal for 3-5 hours to obtain modified graphene oxide. Pre-dried nylon 6 chips and modified graphene oxide are added are added to the mixing device to obtain a pre-mixed material, which is dried at 60-70 degrees C for 1-2 hours. The premix is melted under heating and shearing of a screw extruder to obtain a spinning melt. The spinning melt is allowed to enter into the spinning box for spinning, and the monofilaments are ejected from the spinneret. The monofilament is pre-networked, and finally wound and formed to produce nylon yarn. USE - Method for preparing nylon yarn. ADVANTAGE - The method contains glycidyl neodecanoate as a surface modifier that prevent agglomeration of graphene oxide when it is dispersed in subsequent water. The surface of obtained modified graphene oxide has active hydroxyl groups and incompletely reacted carboxyl groups, that results in significantly improving the reaction effect between nylon fibers and natural plant dyes. Without adding any chemical additives during the dyeing process, it have very good soaping color fastness. The method is safe and eco-friendly.
