NOVELTY - Preparation of graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsion, involves (1) adding ethylene glycol, graphene and catalyst (A), passing high purity nitrogen, slowly adding ethylene oxide, degassing with citric acid, carrying out adsorption reaction to obtain polyethylene glycol-graphene composite material, mixing epoxy resin to obtain graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsifier, mixing graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsifier with epoxy resin, adding deionized water and stirring at high speed to obtain graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsion. USE - Method for preparing graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsion for use in anti-corrosion coating. ADVANTAGE - The safe, environmentally-friendly and non-toxic method enables economical preparation of graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsion with high storage stability, excellent corrosion resistance, excellent adhesion performance and excellent impact resistance. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - Method for preparing graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsion, involves (1) adding ethylene glycol, graphene and catalyst (A) to autoclave, mixing, passing high purity nitrogen, pumping negative pressure at -0.1 MPa, heating at 110-115 degrees C, slowly adding ethylene oxide, maintaining the reactor temperature at 130-140 degrees C and reactor pressure at 0.2-0.5 MPa, aging, degassing with citric acid, carrying out adsorption reaction, dehydrating, filtering and drying to obtain polyethylene glycol-graphene composite material, (2) mixing polyethylene glycol-graphene composite material with epoxy resin, uniformly mixing at 70-80 degrees C, adding catalyst (B), heating at 170-180 degrees C for 2-4 hours to obtain graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsifier, (3) mixing graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsifier with epoxy resin, stirring at 50-60 degrees C for 0.5 hour, stirring slowly, adding deionized water and stirring at high speed for 0.1-0.5 hour to obtain graphene-containing aqueous epoxy resin emulsion.
